Is Robby even going to watch 134 now that Brittney is only part time and hasn’t made the trip to Rio?

    Also,

Of course I’m watching! Disappointed that Brittney’s part time now, but I guess you can’t have everything.

The fights have been so awesome so far! Some surprises, some knockouts…great stuff!

Yeah, a whole bunch of knock outs and oddly no submissions from the land that gave us bjj. Poor Okami just looked bamboozled.

The Brazilan fans will go away from this one very happy with the big three getting their arms raised but both Nog and Shogun looked very slow and plodding to me. Shaub was moving really nicely until he dropped his mitts at the wrong moment and caught those shots up against the cage from Nog but Forrest just looked really sluggish. He’s such a funny, likable dude so even though Shogun’s my favourite it was hard to watch him smashing Forrest on the ground like that.

Favourite fight of the night was Barboza vs Pearson, a couple of very fun muay thai dudes who pretty much went full bore for 15 minutes. They were both really good at mixing up their strikes and launching a bunch of different combos and they both had great cardio and heart. Love those two guys.

I agree with all of that. I love Forrest, and was hoping for a war on that one. And Schaub did look good – that was a surprise. And what can you say about the Spider? He’s just the man.

Yeah, he’s pretty amazing. I hope Chael gets his rematch though – he seems like the only guy who can push Anderson.

Good questions, good answers, good interview.

Strange that they bleeped “shit” and “ass” but not “fucking”.

Do you ever watch Ariel Helwani’s interviews, Bootch? His tend to be my favorites, but this chick didn’t do too bad, and easier on the eyes, too.

Yeah, Ariel’s pretty good. I don’t watch his full show but if he has an interesting fighter on I’ll click on it.

good show. Anderson Silva is definitely a secret military experiment in genetics.

did you guys catch the prelim fights? specifically the first one with the premature celabration? thought that was pretty funny.

it was really good to see Royce Gracie there, too. excellent showing all around.

Yeah, I saw all but the very first round of the first Facebook fight. You’re talking about Palhares, right? Jumps off Dan Miller and climbs the cage, raises his arms, Herb looks confused, Dan wakes up and realises Herb didn’t stop it, Rousimar looks confused, they start up again and Dan nearly KOs Rousimar … hilarious state of affairs.

Loved that crowd too. They even chanted Buffer’s goofy “Iiiiiiiiiiiit’s time!!!” catch phrase.

You guys seeing the new TUF season? Two mouthy coaches + a bunch of 135 and 145 firecrackers already feels like a winning recipe to me. Only 3 decisions out of 16 fights was a real nice way to kick it off.

Looking forward to seeing that freak Jon Jones in action again today too. So long, so fast, so creative. Seems like Rampage is going to turn up in much better shape than Shogun did and in a better groove than Shogun was too since Rampage’s been in the cage a couple of times over the last year but how the hell does he deal with a guy that looks and fights like a genetically engineered supersoldier?

Dude, it’s gonna be interesting. I really think Jones will win, but Rampage is the most entertaining personality out of the cage, followed closely by Forrest Griffin. It’s kinda hard to know who to root for.

TUF has always been something good to watch, but this season is a can’t miss.

James Te Huna won’t get an easier fight than that in the UFC. Even my takedowns are better. The second fight was fun but in the third Junior is going to lose fans if he’s going to act like that without finishing. If you’re going to posture like Anderson you better finish like Anderson.

looking forward to TUF. i’m a little behind and haven’t watched it yet.

the best part of the recent PPV (aside from Jon Jones. i’m a fan of Rampage, but man that Jones has some talent) was wishing Mark Hunt’s first name was “Mike”. 😀

Loved seeing Nick Diaz back at 155 where he belongs. Dude is so entertaining but I think Rory MacDonald showed him he doesn’t belong at 170. The HW fights were so grueling I felt like I needed a lie down afterward. I was stoked for our boy Hunt showing some decent wrestling but man, that match was far from a classic.

Bones is so long and creative he must be the most awkward motherfucker around to try to time for a counter. I’m really looking forward to seeing him fight someone like Rashad or Lyoto though. I think Shogun and Rampage have been too predictable to give him any trouble but Rashad may have a few clues about him from the training they did together and Lyoto may have the speed and footwork to strike with Bones in a way Shogun and Rampage didn’t manage to.

Speaking of Shogun – him vs Hendo at UFC-139? It’s too awesome to even dream about. One of them is going to get injured in training or something just to deny the universe the chance to see it. No way we get that lucky.
