Wha…? I think Brittney looks hot smiling, not smiling, knitting a sweater, holding a box of dead puppies, whatever. Arianny looks like a stuck-up bitch. Mostly though, I watched this thing a while back, and Arianny was really full of herself, and Brittney just seemed cool and down to earth, and that’s awesome. To be fair, I like Chandella a lot, too, but she’s not my type.
I can’t believe that first round. I’m surprised Andre’s still standing.
I would’ve have been fine if it’d been stopped in that first round. There must have been more than a dozen shots to Andre’s head there with no reply. But over the full 15 that crazy limey proved he has a LOT of guts even when he’s being summarily outclassed.
I gotta say though, as much as I’ve been a muay thai fan for a million years these days I prefer an MMA fight that has at least some ground action. Overall the fight was a little too one-dimensional to be one I’d want to revisit.
And of course I wouldn’t say no to any of those ladies if I was a single mofo but I also don’t know anything about the girls’ personalities. I think it comes down to I just prefer Arriany’s more feminine face and I don’t go for blondes. I still think Brittney’s plenty cute though, she has an adorable crooked smile and a kind of wonky right eye but it works for her in a wholesome girl-next-door kind of way.

I didn’t answer about the Kongo/Barry fight. I was in shock, because I’ve never seen anything like that. That was awesome.

Bummed for Wanderlei though. If he had to lose I’d at least have liked to see him last the 15 minutes.
But what a great night of fights overall. I could watch Condit’s flying knee over and over and over. Five round one finishes and then a five round battle between a tasmanian devil and a mongoose. So much fun.

Is the UFC switching to FOX going to affect you guys? Is that a free channel or will you still have to pay for events?

this shouldn’t affect the free events or the ultimate fighter for us over here. anyone who had SpikeTV (for the paid event pre-shows, the free events and ultimate fighter episodes) will more than likely have access to the Fox channels. i guess all the SpikeTV content will be on FX now? they mention FuelTV but i don’t know if that would mean all the Wreckage stuff would move from Versus? i honestly can’t remember if WEC is a Zuffa property as well?

WEC has been owned by Zuffa for a long time, and then the WEC was absorbed into the UFC. Since Versus is an NBC/Universal owned network, Versus and Spike should see all of their Zuffa shows move, but they haven’t said anything about Versus yet, which means to me that the contracts with Versus aren’t over yet.
So right now, Spike and Versus are the only channels they’ve been on. What this means is that we’ll see 4 events per year on regular free TV. The Ultimate Fighter will now be shown on Friday nights on FX (a Fox owned cable channel), and the next season will have LIVE fights. That’s just bad ass.
I think FuelTV will be where they will show the prelims before the regular events. The thing that kinda sucks about that is that FuelTV isn’t an HD channel for my cable provider.
I think this is so awesome. For the fights that will be shown on free tv, those audiences will be potentially three to four times as large as the LARGEST PPV they’ve ever had. More mainstream exposure to MMA will lead to bigger things. I think that you’ll see the fighters be even more serious about what they do in and out of the octagon, and will add more legitimacy to the sport, and eventually bring in even more talent.
Yeah, it seems like a huge positive move for the UFC to be somewhere they have the potential for a 300% rise in eyeballs on them and hopefully the live TUF fights light a fire under that show too.
And speaking of the WEC, as well as the 135 and 145ers they’ve really lit up that 155 division nicely. Anthony Pettis got taken out by Clay Guida but both Donald Cerrone and Ben Henderson have been impressive. I mean, Jim Miller is no joke but Bendo fucking beasted him. That Versus 5 card was one of the best bunch of fights of the year so far.
