I did not watch it. I just couldn’t justify $45 for that card. I was going to buy it when it was still Alvarez/Chandler, and I know there’s plenty of people that would scoff at me not buying it for one fight, but I really felt like I’d feel a lot of buyer’s remorse if I’d bought that card.
That being said, I would’ve liked to have seen Page fight – I remember his first fight and was pretty impressed.
From what I’ve heard, the last two fights had the worst judging ever.
I gotta be honest – since Brittney kissed a poisonous pufferfish, none of the ring girls have done it for me. I’ve actually had the thought, though, that the Bellator girls look a bit trashy to me.
Yeah, it was a bummer Alvarez broke himself, and I’d already bought the PPV before that so I was commited, but I’m such a Chandler fan by now that combined with the baaaaaaaaad blooooooood Rampage/Mo match and being curious to see Tito fight a small middleweight, I would have bought it anyway. Plus it’s only $25 over here.
As for the judging, I’m usually ready to be a drama queen and holler “ROBBERY!” but neither of these really called for that. I did score Chandler’s fight for him, but it was one of those 5th rounds where it’s 2-2 going in, the other guy had the momentum from the last two rounds, Chandler was flagging and getting wild while Brooks looked smooth and fresh and won probably the first 4 minutes of the 5th round just out-techniquing Michael, and then Michael, through pure force of talent and will, got one of his wild haymakers to tag Brooks and wobble him. From there it depends who you talk to. A lot of folks will tell you after Chandler dinged Brooks he dropped him a few seconds later then attacked on the ground and was within micrometers of subbing Brooks. What I saw was Chandler’s haymaker fist miss Brooks’ head, but his arm scuffed Brooks’ head, and because Brooks was already wobbled and ducking the haymaker, he lost his balance, then on the deck Chandler grabs a tight arm triangle, but he never moves out of mount, and that sub almost never works unless you move to side control. So it really could have been scored either way and the split was very understandable.
Rampage/Mo also went R1 clear to Mo, R2 clear to Rampage, and R3 was very close – Mo using his point-fighting wrestling and Rampage trying to knock Mo out – and I scored it for Mo but I could easily see it going to Rampage. I think that one was even unanimous.
I can see your point on Jade maybe looking trashy in the past when she was a bleach blonde, but now it’s a more natural colour I find her really pretty – almost wholesomely so. Mercedes I’ve always thought was the prettiest ring girl around, but I’ve also heard her be interviewed a few times and while she’s not about to win the Pulitzer or anything, she comes across as more switched on than other ring girls I’ve heard, and that influences me when it really shouldn’t. In fact it should be illegal.

Fair enough Captain, but if I’m going to do the work to bring the girls, you’re going to have to do the work to judge them with no regard for my, or anyone else’s feelings which may be be mercilessly crushed by your stern gaze and unflinching eye for imperfection.

Yeah, sorry it’s taken me a few days to get back to this. I find that I spend less and less time on the internet these days. It’s likely due to the fact that at this job, I actually have more than full-time work on my plate (as opposed to my last few gigs).
Now, I don’t know anything about these nice young ladies, so all I’ll have to go on is the photos you’ve posted here, and the first few that come up when I Google “[name] ring girl”. If those don’t give me favorable results, I’ll try “[name] ring girl double-sided dildo action”, but it may not be required for this response.
Mercedes: semi-generic brunette hot girl. This is the chick that every guy wants to wear around town, but I doubt anyone would want to settle down with (looks like someone did though). I’m not really complaining about her looks… she just doesn’t have a look that would make me remember her name. She’s killer crazy hot though, fantastic build. I’m pretty disappointed that with a pooper like that she doesn’t know how to pose sexy and provocative. She seems to know she’s hot now, but maybe she had akward teen years and didn’t figure out how to slut things up a couple of notches. Where is she from? My guess is, that after her career took off, she’s probably a huge pain in the ass. I’ll bet she never poses nude during her career or anything, and she’ll say it’s about some blah blah blah… but in reality it’s probably more about hurting her “brand”. I hate bitches that talk about their personal brand. Her candid photos make her look more generic… but her rack in nearly everything is quite memorable. I’d definitely dive in head-first, but she doesn’t seem like she’d be freaky enough to put up with her shit. That’s probably true of most women that are famous for their looks though.
Arianny: Slightly more generic latina hot girl (fucking look at that crazy name! She looks like a reporter joke from “Married With Children” with that damn name!). I like her “real” build, but at first I had to wonder if things are less impressive when they aren’t being held in just the right place. Google results say she has a cute mole by her nipple, so that snap judgement isn’t accurate. My problem with her, is that she seems aware that her brothers and dad watch UFC, and only goes as hot as she has to. Her candid shots look like she may not be quite as cute when she isn’t all made up, and she looks terrible when she cries. I’m betting she knows how to fight because she has 13 brothers or some shit, and she probably things her claim to a hot temper and her looks mean that she’s a hot tamale that any guy would want to have. Would I kick her out of my bed? Yes. I’d tell her to go get a dozen taquitos and walk back to bed with one in her ass. But she’s less impressive than above.
Jade: Here’s the chick that made it out of the small town. She let most of the football and/or baseball team date her in the butt during her on again off again with slightly violent two-first name boyfriend. She’s the least good looking woman here, but probably the most fun to know for more than 10 minutes. She likely craves chaos, and has/will have a series of failed relationships. If there are no daddy issues, then someone in her family fooled around with her when she was young, but not THAT young. Lucky for anyone who gets her naked; I’m betting she’s the kinda freak that will crush a juice-box with her snatch (on her upper back obviously) and manage to land the majority of the resulting juice in her mouth. At least she had the sense to pose nude while anyone cared… but she’s not the kinda girl that made an impact on sales or online subscriptions. Her favorite alcohol is “in her”, and her favorite position is semi-conscious. She looks too much like madonna in some of her photos. She’s very attainable looking.
Brittney: She looks like UFC’s Tiffany Amber Theisen. She looks kinda real (not all hot model-ly), but also not crazy smoking hot. I’d expect to see her on the bachelor or something. She’s the “appletini” of hot girls. She seems like the emulates sexy, but is rarely sexy. Probably the smartest one of the bunch, and probably the lamest in the sack. She seems like the kind of girl that is uncomfortable masturbating, and will be married to some boring architect guy named “Tom” or something in New Hampshire in a few years. She’ll look back on those UFC years as another lifetime, and will probably look the best out of these 4 when she is 60. It will probably be because she’s barely lived. She’s pretty. That’s how I’d describe her. She seems more like the one you’d want to date, and then you’d spend the rest of your live trying to do vile things with her body while settling for missionary once every-other-week.
I was going to say something about the UFC-173 main event but I still don’t know if I quite believe what I saw so I can’t form proper sentences about it yet.

Chris was amazing too, took all that rocking from Lyoto in R4 and yet by the end of R5 he was back in charge. You could see him asking his cornermen after the fight whether he’d won or not – like he didn’t even remember that he’d won the first three rounds. That’s how bad Lyoto stung him in R4. And Lyoto, by the way, what a fucking man that guy is. Chris ground him down and yet he still rallied to put out that mean R4, and finished wailing on the champ. Too little too late, but too much not to be proud of his efforts.
Can’t wait to see Chris go against Vitor or Jacare.

Oh yeah, and how about Urijah Fucking Hall? The doc is all “I can see the bone sticking out” and Urijah’s all, “Nah Doc, I’m sweet, let me fight” … and then he goes out there for two more rounds and wins against a tough SOB!
He was hard to like on TUF, but I like him more and more every time I see him now. Corny “Follow your dreams” speeches and all.

Last night was pretty great, even though I was really looking forward to seeing Struve back.
Ronda’s such a badass. I don’t know if you’ve continued watching Embedded, but I really love that. Anyway, just watching her shadow boxing is like “holy shit!” She’s just amazing.
Machida totally surprised with his ferocity in the 4th and 5th. I’ve never seen him like that. I also have warmed up to him, especially after Embedded, but I still wanted Chris to win. There’s just something about him – he just seems like such a great guy all around.
Uriah finally met some expectations! Truth be told, though, I believe there’s more. I don’t think we’ve seen everything, and in a way, he’s kinda like Cerrone in that we’re just not sure what we’re gonna get. Last night was nice to see, though.
And tonight – wow, I’m excited. BJ looked amazing at the weighins yesterday, so I’d like to see something awesome!
