ParticipantYeah, we’ll have to see. I’ve definitely got the radar on for news.

ParticipantDana’s latest video. Beware of needle draining scene. It’s also interesting to see the different pre-fight demeanours of Rashad and Chael knowing what we know now. Also a rare opportunity to see Connor MacGregor in a group of 4 people and being the only one not talking. Some entertaining post-fight Johny footage but no post-fight GSP footage unfortunately.

ParticipantYeah, I love these vlogs.
Have you heard about the UFC Fight Pass? I’m not even sure it’s available anywhere else than the states, but it starts soon and it’s $10 a month. I want it.

ParticipantLooks like it’ll be available in NZ and Aus too. Good times. And Merry Christmas Robby.

ParticipantWow, she doesn’t really pull any punches, does she? I don’t think she’s hot, but I do like her a whole lot. I think she’s badass.

ParticipantMan, that’s just about as sad an end as it could have been short of actual death. Probably going to bum me out for a week.
At least we got to see Ronda extended beyond a little beyond the predictable.

KeymasterYeah wow, even I caught this. Saw it posted somewhere… Holy shit that was bad.
December 28, 2013 at 11:06 pm #62295rob
ParticipantYeah, that was pretty bad. For it to end out such a great year, that’s a bummer, too. It’s weird – watching it didn’t bother me as much as the sound that Anderson made – I think that it will haunt me for a while.
The thing I keep thinking, on more of a positive note, is that Chris Weidman is the man. The dude took the best fighter ever and used two advantages against him.
My only hope now is that he beats the ever-loving shit out of Vitor. Is it wrong that I hope that Chris does something to finish that asshole’s career, too?

ParticipantYou know he’s best buds with your boy Dolce, right? That makes you and Vitor pretty much teammates.

ParticipantMeh, Vitor. If we were teammates, I’d have to listen to his ass all the time, and thankfully, I don’t have to do that.

ParticipantIt’s the God thing isn’t it.
Meanwhile docs are saying 3-6 months recovery before Anderson can train again. Apparently 38 isn’t old when it comes to bone healing. Not a bad timeline considering how dramatic it was.

ParticipantIt really isn’t. Here’s the timeline:
1. Belfort dodges questions about TRT usage, doesn’t answer one way or another.
2. One of the Athletic Commissions (think it was Nevada, but not 100%) discloses that Belfort used TRT in the previous fight.
3. Belfort later says in an interview that if you’re on TRT, you should disclose that information freely.
4. Is asked by an American journalist in Brazil at a post-fight press conference if he is tired of answering questions about his TRT usage, Belfort rants and asks someone to beat him up.
5. Belfort apologizes publicly for saying those things and cites God and Jesus.
Now, let me ask – are these the actions of an honorable, honest man? I don’t think so. These are the actions of someone who uses Christianity out of convenience, and in his own mind it allows him to rationalize his behavior. I think deep down he knows that using TRT, while legal at the moment, is not an honorable way for a fighter to compete, but he still uses it because deep down he is a cheater. He should be destroyed.
While I do find his last three fights very impressive technically, they are tainted by the knowledge that I have, and the only reason I know these things is because I pay so much attention to this shit. To me, there are millions of people in the world that do the wrong thing because they can get away with it, and they use faith in God to drum up support from those who don’t pay attention to their actions. These people should be eradicated.
Now, with Silva, I read that, too. Seems awfully short considering his foot almost fell off. The human body is sort of amazing, no? It’s good to hear, and even though I’m sad that he’ll probably never be able to compete at the same level, I’m happy to hear that he will recover. He’s incredibly kind and approachable, and I just think he’s a special, special dude.
