ParticipantOddly perfect way for his era to finally end I thought.

ParticipantI’ve got so much to say. Guess it’ll have to wait for my recap show.

ParticipantYeah, it’s not every day you see something like that. The funny thing is, like Weidman said at the post-fight presser, it’s exactly what Anderson’s done before multiple times. It’s been part of his game for a long time and it’s always worked in the past because in a game which is 90% mental/10% physical it’s won him those mental battles. This time he ran into a guy who wasn’t phased enough to miss.

Yeah Rob.
Your recap show.

ParticipantYou’re absolutely right. I actually did the show yesterday, but got busy and forgot to post it. It should be up shortly.

ParticipantDon’t know if you bothered to watch this vid Robby but it’s almost worth watching just to see a quick glimpse of Rogan and Goldie (about 5:00) reacting to the craziness of the main event.

ParticipantI did see that! It’s pretty awesome. I knew it shook April and I up, for sure.

ParticipantRogan on his feet, Goldie looking away as if he’s trying to process what’s just happened – as if it can’t be real. It’s kind of perfect and I wish they released more footage of it.

ParticipantI wish there was more behind the scenes stuff period. Like there was one of Dana’s blogs a while back, and it showed Brian Stann after his last loss, and he was all cussing and stuff. That’s like the real shit there, and I want more.

ParticipantShit yeah, Dana’s Day 1 vlogs are badass. I was just bummed the 162 episode, with stuff from 160, didn’t show any of Team Hunt. Not that it was a happy occasion in the end, but it would have been cool to see our coaches Steve and Lolo back there with Mark for the pre-fight stuff. Of course, I say “our” coaches even though functionally it means jack, because it’s still fun to say you share a coach with legendary fighter.
Speaking of which, in your latest Rob show when you said you’d found something you and your wife could do together, and had been talking about wanting to get in better shape, I thought/hoped/dreamed for a split second you were going to say you both went and signed up at the local Gracie Barra school you mentioned a few episodes ago. Although considering you hate being all hot and stuff I can see why that was a dumb guess on my part.

ParticipantI’m really changing my views on that, since apparently this job I’ve got means I’m going to be hot until it’s 75 again. I really just need to start working my core. Don’t know about jiujitsu right now, since we’re sorta bleeding money lately. And, there plenty of things I can do here at the house that don’t cost shit, like masturbation.

ParticipantSome really fun action so far. Bummer for Chiesa, but Masvidal subbing a ground specialist like that just shows how good he is. Liked both ladyfights, although maybe Herb let Liz pound away for too long. Herman/Smith was crazy fun.
Time to see which Robbie Lawlor turns up to the dance with Bobby Voelker.

Nice one Rob. I slightly favour Ellenberger, but apart from that I pretty much agreed with your picks.

ParticipantWell, we saw how THAT turned out. Kind of a bummer, MacDonald/Ellenburger. Robbie was badass, DJ was impressive, overall, not bad at all for free.

ParticipantYou called it perfectly for Rory, he took control early and from then on it felt like his to lose. In fact it was like he was not only fighting not to lose, but not to get a title shot against his pal Georges either.
DJ’s great. He’s dynamic both on his feet and on the ground – never settles for safe positions or feels like he’s point-fighting, always looking for improvements and opportunities to finish.
Also saw the new TUf promo for the first time. I know it’s not cool to say you like the drama side of TUF, but I love that drama so I’m amped for it.

ParticipantYeah, that promo was good.
Also, damn, Melvin looked awesome. Did he even get hit? When he’s focused, he’s pretty fun to watch, even though I’m not a huge fan of him personally.
