Participanthe’d better not be kidding about the doctor thing. otherwise i’m gonna be upset over all the rectal exams i let him perform on me. not over the exams themselves but for him charging me so much for them.

ParticipantDepends what you mean by “doctor”. Do I have a degree? Not per se. Have I performed surgery on people? Yes. Have all of them survived? We don’t need to go into that. Did I allow Lark to pay in installments out of the goodness of my heart? Of course.

ParticipantBucho, New Zealand’s National Treasure.
Does anyone happen to remember the Windows/Mac bit we did on the show? With the jogger and the blue screen of death?
Yeah, Bucho’s like a living Mac.

ParticipantWord on the street is they’re considering a rematch for Diaz/Condit. Do you guys want to see that?

ParticipantI do. Although I’m in the “Condit won and Diaz acted like a whiny baby” camp, I definitely think that it is in the best interest of the fans. It was such a back-and-forth fight that I wouldn’t have been surprised if it went the other way, so seeing them fight again seems okay to me.

ParticipantI take back everything I said. Nick Diaz is a fucking idiot.
Did you see that he tested positive for marijuana? Can you imagine what would have happened if he’d actually won the fight? Diaz has been nothing but trouble since he got back in the UFC, so I’m hoping now that he just gets cut.
Hey, I’m the last person to speak out against marijuana use – I’d be doing it today if it were legal. But there’s the key – it’s not legal, and it’s SURELY not legal when it comes to professional fighting – the fact that it’s not performance enhancing is beside the point. Exactly how stupid do you have to be to get caught like this anyway? It’s not like the test was a surprise – it happens before every fucking fight.
I’m happy for Carlos Condit – he won fair and square, and now he doesn’t have to worry about Diaz anymore.

ParticipantNever a dull moment with those Diaz boys. Endlessly entertaining in the cage, endlessly frustrating outside of it.
Can’t wait to see Mark Hunt back in business this weekend. Cheick Kongo is more than a handfull and a significant step up from his last two opponents though. Bendo vs Frankie is fascinating too. I can imagine Bendo having more ways to win but Frankie is just so freakin’ tough only a fool would count him out. And I may be an fool, but I ain’t that kind of fool.

ParticipantI’m really excited for this card. So many good fights on the schedule.
I like Edgar okay – I’ve been surprised with his ability to just stay alive, and finishing Gray, that really was impressive. That being said, I STILL don’t think he’s a great fighter. A 100% BJ Penn could just not lose – there’s plenty of fights where he’s just a madman. I think there was something wrong with BJ in those two fights honestly. And Gray – trying to watch the fights as objectively as I can – it really looked to me that Gray kept psyching himself out, not attacking because he was so scared of gassing.
I think that’s the key – your mind has to be right, too. Look at Jake Shields, getting finished in under a minute in his last fight. I don’t think he’s the best, either, but he’s better than that. Fighting so soon after his dad’s death was a bad idea. And look at Benson and Anthony Pettis – something was wrong with Benson in that fight, and chances are there was something in his life that was bugging him. Proof, you say? Look at their performances afterward. Benson hasn’t lost since, and looks to be every bit as strong as he was in the WEC.
So, my opinion is that Edgar is not a top fighter – he just stays in the fight, and with the last four fights, that was enough. If Benson comes with his mind right, I don’t see how Edgar can win. Of course, that’s what I said about BJ and looked what happened there – twice!

ParticipantYeah, I feel the same way about Frankie but I’ll almost always root for him because I love that he barely cuts any weight and is always fighting guys a whole division bigger than him at least. I’m not a fan of the idea (and the effects) of weight cutting so I want Frankie to keep winning as the ambassador for fighting at a natural weight. It’s the same reason I have a soft spot for the heavyweights who aren’t monsters like Brock or Tim Sylvia.

ParticipantOMG – so far, this is one of the greatest single nights of fights I’ve ever seen – and there’s four fights left! If you aren’t watching this right now and you’re a fan, you need to find it any way you can and watch this shit.

ParticipantI bet you were. Rampage slamming Bader made me almost shit myself, and I was going nuts during the title fight. What an amazing night.
