ParticipantBTW: I don’t think there was a single Star Wars reference in this show.
Newman, can you verify?

ParticipantAnd finally ❗ Doug Pinnick and Ty Tabor of (Katy Texas’ own) King’s X on stage at Hell’s Kitchen last month

ParticipantThis is a ’97 RX-7 R-1 twin turbo that I’m considering buying…

ParticipantHere’s a view the long way down one of the wings of the Orlando convention center

ParticipantThis is the cavernous area that connects two wings of the Orlando convention center. I took this while at a convention last year

ParticipantThis is the bike I fell in love with at the International Motorcycle Show. It’s a Triumph Rocket III

ParticipantThis is my bike. The picture was taken right after I drove it off the lot and had stopped for the first fill-up.

ParticipantI’ve got a few. I’ll have to pull them off my phone and onto this ‘puter.

ParticipantLooks like he has some sort of nasal passage problem and he talks like he has a stuffed up nose all the time.
He plays D&D in his spare time at home with his mom.
He laughs at things no one else thinks are funny.

ParticipantIs it just me or does the guy in the travel agency (last picture on previous page) have his legs up on the desk like feet in stirrups while he’s talking about playing with it for hours?

ParticipantAs today is the final day of Masturbation Month, let’s look back fondly on all of our celebrations both private and public.
Just because Masturbation Month is coming to a close does NOT mean that you need to stop celebrating. That’s the whole purpose of having a Masturbation Month. With information comes enlightenment.
Celebrate at will long into the future; or, as Spock would say: “Live long and masturbate.”

ParticipantDoes Comcast have decent retention in the bin newsgroups? I have Comcast, so I may have to give them a try. Do you know if you can access their news servers from outside their network?

ParticipantIt’s great in that it’s untraceable, unlike torrents. It’s not so great in that you can’t just go in there and get what you want all the time. You have to kind of grab stuff as it flys by if it looks interesting.
If you decide to experiment with newsgroups, you’re going to want to subscribe to a service. I was subscribed until recently to easynews and their service is fantastic. I would recommend them highly. I paid $10 a month, but they have other plans available.
If you’re on Windows, head over to daansystems.com and buy a copy of NewsReactor. It costs around $15, but its WELL worth the cost. You get upgrades for free for ever once you buy. You can also download a trial version.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any decent news readers for the Mac. The only one that people seem to use if Thoth, but it’s not beign made any more and I had a hard time figuring out how to use it.

ParticipantToday is Towel Day (sort of ironic in light of it being Masturbation Month) in honor of Douglas Adams.
Since everyone here is a Star Wars geek, I’m sure you know who Douglas was. You’re supposed to carry a towel around all day, so be nice if you see nerds on the street with towels!

ParticipantIs the upload script still in place? I’ve lost my bookmark to it…
Also, the link for the forums on the 404 page is missing the “s” on the end of forums.
