Already copy-cockblocked. However, from this video I found the six movies all in french! Haha
The spinning cylinder is the video head right? The one I am talking about is on the opposite side, just before the audio head, in the photos it is right beside the black drum thing attached to an arm (cryptic) It seems that the tape is dragging, but there is a weird sound coming from the area around that part I am talking about, and I can’t exactly pinpoint the source of the drag. I’ll play around with it again either tonight or tomorrow and report again
I just watched about 20 minutes of Back to the Future with no issue. The problems start happening if you watch for a long time. Which sucks because it is impossible to watch an entire movie, but if just pieces are watched, it seems to work ok. That is why I partially think it is an overheating or non-lubricated issue
This sony has a rewinder built in, “Hi-Speed Rewind” That is one of the bonuses to keeping it around haha. I remember the guy at our local video store had a rewinder that looked like a race car. It was cool
It is also getting very hot around that area, I wondered if it is a friction issue but I don’t know what would happen to the actual tape if I were to apply WD-40 or some other other lubricant (probably nothing good will come of that)
I never noticed these as I am only subscribed to the Switched On youtube account. Pretty cool videos though
I just recently finished this episode again, and I caused a minor public disturbance with an outburst of laughter on the train in the morning. Very fun!
Don’t get married is still one of my most favorite full length songs you have done. The two line Pancakes and Incest song is really great for a short one as well.

Ok. It was an issue with parallel downloading in iTunes. Sorry for sucking all the bandwidth 😀 And I have listened to some of Rob’s stuff from 2009 but I’ll make a note to add his feed or download, however he distributes his medium. -See related post in solo shows

I’ll add that except for new shows I don’t explicitly listen to everything too closely. I usually throw SOS on when I’m trying to debug a couple thousand lines of code or am wanting something to listen to at night.
My specific shows would probably be 41, 72, 75, 84, episode IV podcast (I love to listen to it because I know the movie from start to finish and can “watch along” anywhere), then 141/143 (I started to listen around 140’s when I first found Switched on) I listened to the twisted pickle religiously before I found switched on, and even did my own show back in 2005 or something ridiculous like that.
And Rob, if people don’t enjoy what you do they ought to be shot, I can honestly say you guys are objectively funny, but most people get put off by the length of the show. Everyone wants that instant hilarity or something stupid.
Think of switched on like a big series of novels, you’ll miss some little things if you don’t read every page but you could pick up one randomly from the collection and enjoy it because they are not fully dependent on one another, know what I mean?
This is similar to something I did in Grade 9, however instead of the weather getting bad we had an alien invasion. The production value and actual comedy for any age group – not just young people – is really what your video had blown away with, well done.
They did beat the shit out of all the other groups, all the other ones seemed like they were filmed in one take on a gas powered camera (shameless show reference).
I had a feeling like one of the shitty groups would win because it seems like that always happened when we were younger, and I remember Jerry mentioning something about that in one show, where he had drawn up something amazing for a contest and then they ended up picking some shitty picture instead of his (I think it was a mascot). It happened to everyone at least once I think
