You posted that specifically for me didn’t you? If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times. I’m not that way inclined!

And there’s the parasitic wasps that cause the caterpiller to cocoon it’s larvae and then defend the cocoons until they die of starvation!

She’s giving me nightmares now…..make her stop!

The thing I like about animal and nature video’s is that you can combine your interests. Example below is my love of all things zombie, especially with killer fungai, and all bugs that live in colony’s!

This link here explains how much the fungus manages to control the ants. It causes them to seek out optimum fungai growing conditions, then bite down on a main vein of a leaf and then locks it’s jaws in place. I read somewhere that it even does this at the optimum time of day!! http://www.labnews.co.uk/laboratory_article.php/6499/2/parasitic-fungus-makes-zombie-ants

I actually did research place names and regions…..that is a genuine name of a village. Not so sure I would want to live there though…..too many damned Chupacabra’s!

I loved that. Although the one I was routing for took 2 to the head early on. Scarface eat your heart out!!

My favourite video is nowhere near as awesome as that…and I’m not that fussed on the song. I just think the video is so well put together. But I think this one may have overtaken it….

Incidently, it was Sugar Water by Cibo Matto. Awesome in totally different ways….

3D can work IMO. I loved Avatar and thought the 3D really brought something to the film. I am however getting really peeved at the way we are being forced to watch 3D.

I took my eldest daughter to see Pirates 4 the other day. The 2D sold out just as I got to the ticket booth. It then took me about 15 minutes to work out from the not-very-helpful viewing times screen that the next 2D showing was 4 hours later. The 3D version had showings every 20 minutes and so I was forced to see it in 3D.

It had to be the worse 3D i have ever seen. Some of the jungle shots showed out of focus jungle fronds in the foreground with us watching the in-focus main characters through them. When 3D puts these blurred out of focus fronds literally just in front of your nose, it fails. Big time!!

Done correctly as an occasional novelty, it can work. I’m thinking of Jaws 3D or Freddy 5. Not the norm, just a one off special movie to stand out from the crowd.

Star Wars 3D coming over the next few years might work, but I doubt it. I will be going to see them all, just because it is Star Wars on the big screen….and I love me some Star wars. Some of you may have heard the story about how far I am willing to put myself in danger for Star Wars….

I may explain it all one day…..anyway. Off track. 3D is proving to be popular. Not because it’s what the viewing public want, but because show times and cinema big-wigs are forcing us to eat it up.

If I could open a cinema chain that offered next to zero 3D showings, I’m sure I could wipe the floor of all the big UK chains!

    Rant over…
