KeymasterAll interesting points. I would not be able to quit my job unless it was HUGE… I have too much going on. But I could handle the pressures of both and hitting a set schedule reliably. Trouble is, money may not fix it. I wish it would, it would make it fun, and easy to remotivate, but it’s hard to speak for anyone but myself.

ParticipantAbout 6 hours a week for me. But factor in that in many cases, that means the changing of plans for a whole day off. If it was still as convenient for all of us, it wouldn’t be as big of a deal.
There are just too many factors, real-life getting in the way and such.

ParticipantAt this stage I’d feel bad even suggesting any kind of continuation of the current schedule or regime, $ or not, it’s pretty obvious the boys are close to burnt out on it. I’m more curious how realistic a monthly or even 6-weekly turnaround would be. I’m hoping a few weeks after show 150 at least a couple of the boys miss the creative outlet and comraderie of it so much that such an idea could be considered, especially if Bryan can be freed from the drag of hosting the archive. I’d still be keen to donate if something could be worked out but even though the show is at a peak in terms of its entertainment value it’s clear enough that the boys need to back away from what it currently requires of them or they’ll start to have much less fun and there’ll be no point.

I agree. I would definately be happy with less SOS rather than no SOS at all.

ParticipantTime for a little southern charm….
AAYY you fuckers! listen the hell up!!
Just wanted to try that. ANYWAY!!!!
We’ve heard from Bryan and Rob but what about Jerry! JERRY!!!! *as Rob in the ANH Commentary*
JERRY!!! JERRY!!!! Where the hell is that boy?
Perhaps he has been taken hostage by vicious mobsters (no offense Darth Octavious)….
Anyway, I think discussion of this show ending is going to be incomplete without all three SOSer’s involved. So be on the lookout for a guy that looks like Jerry (yeah..good fucking luck on THAT!) and drag his nomadic ass onto the forums to listen and tell. Imsayin!

ParticipantI feel the same way bucho. I can hear from how they were talking about it on 145 that its become such a burden and as much as they like the show itself and the fans, being able to set a definite point in the near future when they will be free of the responsibility was a weight off their shoulders. Then now to suggest some kind of compromise where they would end up still doing the show, even in a lesser capacity, I know it must be hard to even consider it.
What I really think the guys should consider is, go ahead as planned, end the show at 150, we know its a strain, but dont do anything final like shutting down the domain name or cutting off your balls or something. You dont even have to keep the archive online (though maybe consider keeping a few files online, the last few shows and best-of’s and stuff in the feed), just keep the option open.

I agree. I would gladly download all the shows, but I don’t have the space to do it. If you keep the best ofs and some shows up (maybe rotate batches of ten shows), that would make it less painful….
And give you the option, like John said, to throw stuff out if the opportunity presents itself…

All three of them.
