ParticipantI like the feeling that some of the things we’ve said have entered into consciousness all over the world. It’s very rewarding — especially when you guys pile on the compliments. At this point, just the fact that we still have listeners is cool.

ParticipantDude, that is funny and seems like ages ago. We should put some of the best of 2006 up some time. Thanks everyone for your greatness.
I like titties.

ParticipantI got around to this one today. I was going to make a Bucho the Buddha comment, but I see this has already had mucheth praise heaped upon it.
I really loved the Star Wars talk near the beginning too.
The Emperor has been expecting you.
The who?
The Emperor has been expecting you.
Huh?
The Emperor has been expecting you.
Whu?
Somebody really should just go through the whole of the original trilogy and add their own comedic lines to sound bites from them…If I can ever be arsed, I’ll let you know.

KeymasterAh, you have a long road of awesome Star Wars ahead of you. This one never goes away. Even the show I released last night has even more SW sillies baked right in.

Have you heard any of the SOS movie commentaries yet Ori? It’s not what you’re talking about but they’re pretty damn awesome.

ParticipantYeah, I listened to a few when I started doing the whole ‘random back-catalogue episode hop’ thing. Before I’d listened to much SOS. But then, after I’d decided to do all the episodes from the beginning and in numeric order, the site went down and my iTunes list of available episodes vanished. When the list returned, it had all of the episodes including all of the random ones I’d already listened to. So I’ve listened to the Phantom Menace one twice. I enjoyed it, but would probably have preferred it if I could hear the movie a bit more too. (I do the audio only at work….so I don’t treat them as a commentary so much). I listen to a Star Trek podcast that does commentary….but he lets the audio play a lot and it helps to follow the action.
The commentary was definitely better listening to it once I had gotten more familiar with the show.
BTW, I gave up on the episode 75 thing….I may go back to it one day…..maybe!

ParticipantOkay….I just got that one on my feed 🙂

ParticipantHAH! Even Bear Grylls would have trouble with 75.
I’ve listened to it twice. One of these days I’m going to put together an edited highlights show for 75 – the best couple of hours or something like that – so I’ll shoot you that when it’s done.
I agree about including audio with the commentary shows, especially since the synch goes out for us damn foreigners and our Region 4 dvds, but sometimes you got to fear the Lucas, you know?

KeymasterMaybe I’ll go back and fix those one day. The reason is, back when we did those shows, podcasting was getting a lot of attention, and a lot of podcasters were not only making a big deal about other podcasts ignoring copyright, but many were getting letters and all that shit. I guess we did it just to make it easier for ourselves at the time.
Eventually we got over that shit and realized that us talking fucked up the audio enough that if anyone complained I would be surprised.

ParticipantI dunno – I really was a little scared when I decided to take on 75, and I found it to be pretty entertaining. Or maybe it’s just because I’m an egotistical prick.

Oh yeah, and to be clear I always got and supported why you did it that way.

My essence still senses Bucho's women.

KeymasterI’ve always wanted to do it again, because I think we have a much better understanding of what it takes to do it, and I think our ability to make a long show work is lightyears ahead of where it used to be. The trouble is, the time to do it, and we (me) are all old fuckers that can barely make it up past midnight these days.
