Ryan vs. Dorkman is heavily hyped and deservedly so, this is very much a fan pleaser of a video. They camera’s they used are bad ass (It’s a Panasonic HD whose model number i can’t think of right now), the choreography is top notch for amateurs, and the first one got one of the guys a job at ILM. Brian, what do you want from a fan film? I’d like to see what you haven’t seen yet.
I think you are missing the point I’ve been making… they shouldn’t be making fan films, it undermines their talents (of which acting and costume design are not).

It’s the fan films like these that miss the point. The coolness of the SW universe is based in much more than special effects and weapons, that’s why this fight gets boring so quick. Without character and story it becomes far less potent. It’s like some guitarist wanking on with lightning fast technically accurate lead solos but shit songs. Ryan vs Dorkman is basically video karaoke. I admire the shit out of their dedication and skill but it doesn’t move me one bit.
