ParticipantIf you do, click this. After Jim Henson died, there seemed to be a lack of quality Muppet stuff out there, but reading this gave me hope, and made me laugh, too. I didn’t realize how much I missed the Muppets.

ParticipantThat would be cool if they were making new stuff but the old format would look tired now, they’d need a new one. These clips are fun and seem fresh, especially with Stadler and Waldorf incorporating the computer at the end.

ParticipantA skit-type show? With some of the wittiest humor? I can’t see that being stale, really. I’m not trying to sound argumentative or anything, but I would really be excited to see them pull off a show with this type of creativity.

ParticipantThat was awesome. I still tend to walk around humming the theme to The Muppet Show from time to time. I would love for them to bring The Muppet Show back, much more than just do another Muppet movie.

Well fuck you and your, “I’m not trying to sound argumentative,” bullshit Rob, I’ve had about all I’m going to take of your crap.
On the other hand your argument completely made me change my mind and I think you’re 100% right, if not more, and I love you.

ParticipantI liked them all — I would love to see that level of creativity in a weekly show again. The one thing that I think is missing from most comedy is heart, and I’ve always believed that the Muppets had plenty of heart. It’s cool to see that the wit and creativity didn’t die with Jim Henson. I’m optimistic.

ParticipantHere’s the newest trailer for the new movie. It’s a little weird hearing the voices be different and it looks corny as fuck but I’m pretty sure it’ll be a fun time.

ParticipantI’ve been going through the boxsets of the TV show and have to say, Series 1 is, thus far, actually pretty boring.

ParticipantWhen I saw the trailer in the theater, they didn’t play it up as a Muppet movie at first. And then suddenly the Muppets come in.
How are they going to fit Muppet porn into that with a PG rating?
Here’s my overall take:
+1 for the Muppets
-1 for needless celebrity cameos. Just focus on the Muppets.
-1 for having the chickens sing the F You song. This is supposed to be a family movie after all, and if they’re not going to have Muppet porn, they also shouldn’t have songs that make people say, “Hey that’s a catchy tune, what is that?” and then look it up and play it in their car full of family.October 20, 2011 at 10:33 pm #12433Bucho
ParticipantBut without celebrity cameos it’s not The Muppets!

ParticipantYeah but I think they need to ramp it back up. It’s true that the Muppets aren’t the forefront in entertainment anymore. Make another movie or show to introduce them back, then slowly start bringing in the celebrities. Not too fast now, they can get a bit squiggly. Slow and gentle.
