Version3
KeymasterHave added the little buttons to populate the proper tags for video posting. You will still need to know to extract the video identifier from the two providers I’ve enabled, but I think most everyone gets that already.
Click “Go Advanced” to see this in action.

ParticipantI’m not getting the button. I’m using Firefox 5. I cleared the error console before clicking the Go Advanced button, so all errors are from this page. Error console:

KeymasterAnd while I’m sharing videos… Eclectic Method has a cool Tarantino video mix too

KeymasterThe funny thing is, none of that was from the forum part of the site. Clear cache again and see what happens. Look like the addThis control was flaking out… I’ll have to look into why it’s even being included here.
FF5 on what, OSX?

KeymasterWeird that my first post showed up last… wonder if it had something to do with my dual browser sessions.
And one for the Lark…

Participant🙂
seriously. big smile through that one. i love me some TRON.
there are few of us that loved the new one and fewer still that loved the old one. to see them together like that…
unicorns shittin’ rainbows is what that is. no other way to describe such beauty. (though the other ones were really good, too.)
[EDIT: wait just a damn minute. that cat was barking?]

ParticipantFirefox 5 for Linux. Tried Firefox 6 and got the same results. Also tried it with Chrome, and got the same results, with similar error messages.

ParticipantI didn’t realize that not many people loved the old or new Tron. I thought everyone generally liked them. I certainly did.

people like us that really love the old TRON enough to watch it a couple times each year are probably just those of us that grew up watching it. i can’t believe there are too many new converts nowadays. it really is dated and cheesy.
i have found it hard to gauge the new one. people i thought would like it don’t like it and people i thought would hate it actually love it. even the first time i watched it all i remembered was the light cycles and the music. now that i’ve got the blu-ray i couldn’t tell you how many times i’ve watched it. sure it’s not the greatest movie in the world but i love the tone of the film, the art design, the music. i’ve really started to love it as much as the old one now that i’ve had a chance to savor it here at home. i think it’ll be a couple of years before we can make a good call on the lasting love for TRON: Legacy.
i’d love to know why you like both of them. i love knowing the “why” behind people’s liking of certain movies.

ParticipantI think I like the old one mostly for the reason you said, because I grew up watching it. Before I saw it for the first time I had already decided I want to program computers for a living, so the fact the main character was a computer programmer made me like it all that much more. Also, because I’ve always been fascinated with computers and technology, the computer-focus of the movie also helped me to like it.
As for the new one, I can really sum it up all in one word: Atmosphere. I absolutely loved the cinematography and atmosphere of the new movie. It was fantastic.
