this post isn’t a rant or complaint. i’m just giving my honest thoughts on the film.

first ½ is a mild comedy with a plot based on an actually interesting premise. second ½ pretends nothing in the first ½ happened/matters and goes into audio/visual overdrive. i liked it a lot (no surprise there). i liked it more than the second movie but not as much as the first which i loved.

there are connections to Firefly, Star Trek, Army of Darkness, Tremors and i’m sure dozens more movies that i didn’t catch. it’s like Michael Bay just learned that other directors sometimes put homages into their films and decided to make up for lost time.

you ever wondered what ILM could do with a bottomless pit filled with money? see this movie.

but i think that ultimately this movie is a no-so-subtle allegory of the war on terror with Optimus Prime being the biggest metaphorical representation of the United States ever put to film. (i’m serious. watch the film and tell me i’m wrong.)

people will bitch and moan about Michael Bay and this movie (while he laughs all the way to the bank) and i can’t fault any of them for it. it was an obscene display of over-the-top everything. but i eagerly devoured it like the candy it was and enjoyed every minute of it.

they’ll have to make another one just so they can call it Trans4mers. if they do i hope it’s a prequel set completely on Cybertron with only (if they must) vague references to a distant blue planet. though i’m sure Michael Bay will want nothing more to do with the brand, to the delight of countless fans both hardcore and casual.

My essence still senses Bucho's women.

I just wanna know that you get paid for your opinion with checks signed by Mr Bay. It will make so much more sense to me.

You ever notice how when Shia LaBoufffffffffff talks, it sounds like he has walnuts in his mouth?

I always thought a mouthful of saltine crackers. I fully expect crumbs to shoot out of his mouth at any time.
