    FIGHT CLUB (1999)

I watched this again near the end of last year and didn’t love it like I did when I was right in the target demo at 25 but even as I’m nearing 40 it’s still a pretty damn solid flick. Maybe having watched Zodiac it’s hard for me to go back and watch Fincher’s imperfect movies knowing how much better he was going to get later.

Ahh, Cool Hand Luke. Good flick, although I haven’t seen it in a while.

You hit the nail right on the head with Fight Club. I watched part of it the other day and was kinda meh. It really does seem to be a call-to-arms for the lost man, but as you get older, you realize that you waste a lot of energy on angst, and it’s just more practical to let things slide.

Demolition Man is one of those that it’s still a shock to me that it’s as watchable as it is. It just sounds like a terrible movie, and maybe it is, but I like it.

It still irritates me that they made Marcus into such a bumbling idiot, especially considering his dialogue in Raiders about wanting to go with him on the search for the Ark. I don’t know about anyone else, but I wouldn’t want someone like that on a dangerous undertaking. “Rob, it’s just a movie.” Shut up, naysayer.

    Still, an entertaining movie..

Demolition Man is edited well so the pacing works a treat, plus it has a nice sense of humour about itself and plays to Sly and Wes’s strengths. Sandy B is a lot of fun in it too.

As for Last Crusade, Rob, it’s jussss … oh … I mean … nothing.

There is still time. As a man with an interest in muay thai it is essential your education includes the film many consider the cinematic bible of the art. It is also the cinematic bible on how to wear a tank top..

Is it a cinematic bible on how to be a big cheeseball? That’s what I’ve always thought about Van Damme..
