ParticipantSo I got mine delivered on Friday, and the first thing really is the screen. It really is impressive.
BUT…
To be perfectly honest, it’s one of those things where since it’s such a jump in processing power and screen real estate, right now it’s still very hard to find anything of actual use out there on the App Store. And, it’s sort of a weird thing, but if you have been using the iPad 2 and move to the new one, you’ll see the difference, but if you haven’t, the iPad 2 is still impressive. I think it’s a testament to the quality of the 2.
It’s funny, Bryan and I were talking earlier about how a lot of reviewers were sorta disappointed with the new iPad, and we were both agreed that it was ridiculous. I have to agree with the reviewers to a certain extent – it just sorta seems like a bit of a drag, because once you start using it, you get used to the screen quality, and then it just disappears into what you’re doing, if that makes any sense.
So…am I glad I bought it?
Of course – I was able to sell my iPad 2 to my dad for $200, and got my new one for $300. What a deal for the both of us, really. If you have a 2, you’ll still be able to find a buyer. And I have the feeling that for the new iPad, there’s gonna be some amazing apps that come out for it that will really show the power of this thing. And if you don’t have an iPad at all – if you’re in the market for a tablet, then you can’t do any better.

ParticipantGot mine Friday as well. Went from iPad 1 to the new one (been waiting for that hi-res display update) and its quite the upgrade. Sad to not see a full Siri addition but the new dictation works great with the Maps app.
Hard to believe its been two years since iPad 1 where I went from “would never use it” anti-iPad to now where I couldn’t imagine not having it. LOVE this thing. Even more than Bucho’s penis.
My essence still senses Bucho's women.

ParticipantYou serious? Those are some big words. I mean, Bucho’s penis is a NZ national landmark, is it not?

ParticipantAn iPad isn’t something I’ve considered a worthy purchase for myself. I have my iPhone and I’m in front a computer for 95% of my waking hours anyways. Glad you guys are happy with the purchase.

KeymasterI just had some other priorities for the next few weeks. It really bummed me out to have to face the facts that waiting was the smartest move for me. We have an iPad 2 that’s Jessica’s, and I used to have a 1st-gen. I sold mine last month in prep for the new iPad, but I’ll just have to wait a bit longer.
