ParticipantI’ve only seen it once and don’t feel like I need to again. And I say that in spite of my near unhetero love for Sam Rockwell. I remember there being good things about it but Don Cheadle laying a fat one and the last battle in particular being wildly underwhelming and the writing overall feeling generally undercooked. Maybe “bad” is going too harsh on it, but “good” definitely feels like going too easy on it to me now.

ParticipantDon’t really know why, but it was the father/son stuff that resonated for me the second time I watched it – liked it much better. Same with Thor and Captain America – they just work better the second time.

ParticipantI might watch Captain America again but probably not Thor. As good as Hemsworth and Hiddleston are the rest of the movie feels very slight, the love story doesn’t work and I didn’t like any of the Asgard stuff.
Cap has a couple of issues but overall I thought it was really fun. It surprised me because I didn’t see either film until after I’d seen Avengers and I expected to like Thor a lot more because I liked him more in Avengers. That’s just good science, right?

ParticipantAge of Ultron trailer ahoy!
I like it. Spader sounds great. I still don’t really know who that character is, but he sounds great.

KeymasterI know some about Ultron from various animated series and all. Ultron sound very cool here, looks fairly good (I’ll reserve my actual comments as they could serve as spoilers) and although the Hulkbuster armor is fanboy wet dream fertilizer, that shit looks cool too.
I worry about Thor and Hawkeye being in screen even more to confirm I don’t give a shit about them and the locations give me that uneasy feeling that some art director dumbass was talking a lot about contrasting the last film; which typically equates to stupid reasons to be in specific locations.
After reading in some gaps in my Uktron knowledge, I have a lot of hope for the story. Quicksilver looks cool, but his powers don’t.
I need more to really judge it.

ParticipantHawkeye’s a bit of a nothing character to me but I thought Thor stole a bunch of scenes in the first Avengers. His solo movies haven’t blown me away but I liked him even better than Stark and Cap.
Cap’s become my favourite dude since Winter Soldier though. I hope he’s ok because he looks really sad in the new movie and someone broke his shield.
And, sure, the set-your-trailer-to-a-creepy-pop-song-cover thing is getting as played out as the BWAAAAAARPs were last year, but I thought they nailed it with this one.

KeymasterNot a pop song, it was Pinocchio, and it’s punctuated pretty awesomely with Spader’s “no strings on me” line.

ParticipantI consider songs from a Disney musical soundtracks to be pop songs. Even ye olde ones.

ParticipantIt looks really serious. Hope it’s got some humor like the first movie. I suppose you could cut a pretty serious trailer from the first movie, but none of those trailers felt quite like this.

ParticipantI think they’re just Star Trek into Darknessing us. The trailer for that was portentous as fuck but the movie still had jokes aplenty just like the first one.
