[tech assistance] What the hell does this mean?

Guys, someone here might know something. I don’t understand. I’m using the latest version of Firefox as my browser. This happened once last week, too, but all of my settings for the browser have just decided to switch to default. My homepage isn’t ‘google.com’ anymore, but now the default ‘mozilla firefox google startpage’. That, and the other customizations I’ve made in the preferences are back to default. What the hell does that mean? Is it common? Do browsers ‘just sometimes do that’? It’s not like it’s going to ‘www.my-viagra-black-porn.com’, so I can’t suspect it’s some spyware or virus..
