ParticipantBy definition fan films are usually about as good as a bag of poo, but this was fairly decent.

..remember I’m judging it by OTHER fan films not a true movie

KeymasterI haven’t watched it yet, but I somehow feel like that ‘judging’ comment was put in there so that I wouldn’t be as harsh. hahahahahaa.

ParticipantI refuse to answer that on the grounds that it may incriminate me.
You know how fan films are…..”Oh lookit I can rotoscope a lightsaber…I can’t act for shit or even come up with a story….but look how long and hard and bright and colorful it is.

ParticipantDon’t forget, that they can do it better than Lucas.

ParticipantOkay, I watched it.
Chick was hot, main character looked like he was going to shit his pants the whole time, and sloooooowwww. That’s just my view on it. That was about 20 minutes of story stretched out to almost an hour. Edit, guys, edit! Editing is your friend!
Good soundtrack, though. Nice touch to add original music that actually sounds good. And it was filmed pretty well, except during the action sequences. A little too close-up for my taste.
So there!

KeymasterI don’t have that kind of time to spend on this. So it’s based on the first 7 or so minutes, and a bit of skipping around. I’m not fond of anyone’s acting abilities in this, but they are better than most fan film actors, and better than some popular people, so I can’t give them too much flack. The thing looks really good… for being somewhat limited, it’s got what appears to be decent enough locations, and decent costuming. The action wasn’t that impressive, but it wasn’t retarded hokey like most fan films, so again I gotta give them a bit of space. It was horribly slow. Many of the camera moves were painfully slow as well. I didn’t have as much trouble as Rob with the up close during action stuff because I didn’t see them all very likely, and they were reasonably still. I figure they were used to cover up what just didn’t look good (the fight choreography). The whole thing has a very text-book look about it, the shooting lacks any interesting choices, but from what I saw, it also lacks any dismal failures.
It’s definitely one of the better made fan films out there.

ParticipantI downloaded this a couple of weeks ago and didn’t post it because of the fan film backlash, but on a related note has anyone seen Batman: Dead End or World’s Finest fan trailers by sandy corolla? They are pretty sweet and tthe Batman one was my favorite until Begins was released. Here are some links:

World’s Finest: http://theforce.net/fanfilms/nonsw/worldsfinest/

ParticipantDead:End is one of the best ever. I don’t think you could find anyone that hated it.

ParticipantI agree.

ParticipantDude, it cost him 30 grand of his money to do it, thats crazy, but he does that type of stuff for a living. Anyways, what did y’all think of World’s Finest?
