ParticipantSo yeah, before (and during commercials) for the network premiere of Spider-Man 2, Fox released some behind the scenes material for Spider-Man 3. Interesting because it’s the first moving shot of Venom ever leaked…

ParticipantDamn… I just leaked something. At least the Spiderman movies have been consistently good, unlike the friggin xmen ones.

ParticipantNot to sound like idiot, but Venom is who? Is there a link to an alien to Brock to Spiderman?

I’ve liked the actors but not the villains from the first two so for me this should be the best of the trilogy. Sandman rules and so does the black suit/Venom story.

ParticipantI think Green Goblin and Doc Ock were great choices in my opinion, despite that weird full leather suit that Green Goblin had. My main wish for this flick is that the CGI suck less: I mean something about it just kinda takes me out of it when watching at home. When I watched it in theaters it was good enough, to be like FUCK YEAH look at him swing, but when you watch the dvd it’s just like did somebody fucking make that on Blender 4 (insert obscure show reference). That and make Sandman like 10 minutes top, I’m sure he’ll be really cool or get really old fast.

It’s purely personal taste but my favourite heroes and villains are always the ones with some kind of powers and not with technology. It somehow doesn’t have the yin/yang element of what I consider great rivalries if only one fighter has powers. And as retarded as this probably sounds, I find the powers more believable in that universe than the technology. There’s no logic I have to back that up, it’s actually pretty dumb, but that’s how I relate to it.
I’m with you on the Sandman thing though, even if he’s really cool they shouldn’t get all wanky with their effects and overdo it. Stick with the old “less is more” approach.

KeymasterI agree with you Bucho… I like the Spiderman movies pretty damn well, but I have more problems with the concept that the glider even exists and works for the Green Goblin, than I do with Spiderman’s ability to stop that runaway train. I think it’s because the technology is supposed to be based on reality, while the super-human abilities are, well… super.
