Sony have announced a headset which offers the viewer the chance to watch movies or immerse themselves in video games which would be the equivalent of watching a 750″ screen from 20 metres away.
Only problem I can see is that it appears to be a massive step towards the most addictive game system in the whole of the Red Dwarf universe…..Better Than Life!! So addictive that, according to the Red Dwarf novels, it will kill you as you forget you are in a game and starve to death!
Although, to me, it looks very similar to the iPod Cinema hat!!

Sounds interesting. Don’t know about this 750″ business, sounds more like 150″…still huge.
Yeah, but in the 100+” range, Sony has been doing this for a decade already, and it hasn’t caught on to this point. I doubt that HD is really going to be the thing that was missing from destroying your eyesight in style.

sorry Sony. it looks like your heart is in the right place but i think i’ll pass on this. with a little more time to develop and refine it, this would be a great 3d gaming peripheral for the PS3.

Did you read that review? I thought that it was a piece of shit until I read that the guy was super impressed with the immersion. I’d love to have something like this, simply because I can’t afford a 150″ tv. I’m definitely curious.
Yeah, after you watch Return of the King on them, let me know how you feel about it taking 3 days for your eyes to adjust to roadsigns, 5 days to recalibrate your balance as you lift that skull hugger off and 7 days for you to realize how to aim away from “immersive electronics” when watching 150″ interracial midget gang bang porn.
Sounds like a lot of adjusting to me, when you could just put your recliner closer to your 55″ TV, and tell everyone else to just fuck off for that 150″ solitary entertainment.
