    This is a cover of a Neil Young’s song, Down By The River as done by Buddy Miles. Buddy Mile’s cover is from 1971.

    Pink Floyd’s Breathe was from the 1973 album Dark Side Of the Moon. Now I love Pink Floyd, but Breathe is a blatant rip off of this. It can’t even be called a homage.

    That was fantastic. I’ve listened to the “Amen Break” so much throughout my life, that I feel I should have already known it’s history!

    Nice one Lark, I hadn’t seen that one.

    This topic also reminds me of Rob Paravonian’s Pachobel Rant.

    And there’s an Aussie comedy group that ripped off Rob’s idea, but for a more simple four chord progression, that’s equally illuminating for non-musicians.
