Well, you sign up for mobile updates. That means that you COULD get an SMS notification if say, your favorite podcast had an update to it’s (SOS) twitter feed. Anyway, you’ll get the message from 40404, which is a short code. Once you have this setup, your phone number is registered to your Twitter account… and you can just send a text to 40404 and it will appear in your twitter feed.
-Now how I do it fro my phone… the above works, but I have an iPhone which has a native app for it. I use it (Tweetie) for my updates.
Bucho, I actually have no idea if this works on carriers in your country. I know there are short codes in Kangaroo land, but no idea about Hobbit Island.
Yeah I don’t know either, but now that I think about it I find texting as much of a pain in the ass as it seems like Twitter would be for me. I think I’ll stick to checking in on you guys from the safety of my computeratron.
