    A feel-good hitman comedy.

That’s what this movie is, in a nutshell. It’s almost goofy in it’s strange rough innocence. Now, this is by no means laugh out loud funny, at least in my opinion, but I found myself smiling almost all the way through it. I suspect this will be a favorite once it makes it to TV and all the sex is cut out. Hey, I’m a fan of gratuitous sex like any other dude, but for some reason, it just took me out of the movie, and I think it would have worked better without it. But the whole thing works, even when there’s times when you think that it couldn’t get any weirder, and then it does, and you’re still grinning.

If you ever saw Pierce Brosnan and thought — can this guy actually act? This movie is the answer. The guy is pretty tough, but he has this believable vulnerability that is quite unlike anyone he’s ever portrayed. Greg Kinnear is in it, too, and he brings the same kind of likeable everyman that he brings to almost every movie, but he’s pretty good.

So I guess, when you’re in the mood to go for something a little quirky, I suggest you give it a try. It’s worth at least a rental..
