Haven’t even gotten any feedback on the last couple yet…but yeah. Here.
I talk movies, A/C units, vacation ideas, The Dark Crystal, Bill Burr, and the nature of comedy. I’ll point out that the 20180806 show is almost completely MMA-related, and 20180807 is almost completely me talking about my ridiculous fascination with vapey stuff.

I’ve spent many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many hours looking at maps Robby. It’s one of the many, many, many, many, many things I’m a dork about. I LOVE A GOOD MAP!

Don’t bother with urchin Rob. Even if you’re a seafood lover who likes them some scallops and mussels and oysters and stuff there’s a very, very, very small chance you’re going to like urchin – or as we call them out here in Aoteroa, “kina”. Those little fellas are gross.

I’m with you on Henry vs DJ. I thought DJ won the first 3. I also thought the judging had evolved beyond rewarding lay-and-pray. Also with you that the scoring should more accurately reflect the action. They’ve tried to steer things that way by encouraging more 10-8s, but they still try to discourage 10-10s.

Yeah, Scatt is on the Twitch. I’d never actually seen him before, so that was interesting. He’s still a funny guy, and super talented.
I was actually thinking about this earlier in the week. I know some of us have had those sorta side projects, whether it be podcasts, Twitch channels – I say that anyone that has something they’re doing should post what they’re doing!
Like Newman also has a Twitch channel as well – how did I not know that sooner!
But yeah, about Uncharted – I feel like it needs to be more of a play through type thing, not so much Twitch, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Who knows, maybe at some point I could do that.
And I love Hali – the issue is why he’s not the biggest thing on Twitch right now?!?
I did find a few other peeps on Twitch but haven’t really been on there since you went on Twitch hiatus.

I definitely remember Ariel’s walk and talk with Rampage. His chats with Rampage were my favourite thing on the show, the way Rampage used to fuck with him. He did a similar one with Jonny Bones at one point, and one with Cowboy, and one with Mayhem and London with Bisping. Did I miss any of them? They were probably my favourite things Ariel used to do, I wish he did more of them – with folks like GSP, Ronda, Werdum … like, I would’ve liked to see him go around Chael’s corner of Oregon with Chael, see West Linn in all its glory. The best would’ve been Stockton with one of the Diaz brothers. Also, as cute as his onstage stuff with Conor was, hooning around Dublin with him would’ve been better.

Alright Robby, I’ve listened to all of them INCLUDING the one which is pretty much wall to wall vapey stuff you said you would tell us to skip. I know the main reason you do them is to yap to yourself, but I get a kick out of all of them. Even the vape stuff. At the very least when I’m yapping to someone else out and about, and vaping comes up, I’m not a complete ignoramus now, thanks to hearing you give your takes on the vape scene and one or two bits of that sticking in my brain. I just say “Coils” and “Resistance” and “Mods” and “Cereal Milk” I’m sure they’re fooled into thinking I’m clued up as heck.
All I ask is that when you guys go on vacation you do an episode or two or four during the trip. I know you prefer not to record while April is in the immediate vicinity, but, y’know, even if they’re just 4 or 7 minutes here or there, you’ll find a way. We know you will. You’re THE Robby Michaels. Just pretend you’re on the phone to Bryan or Jerry or something. It’s so easy you almost can’t NOT do it.

Oh, it’s definitely possible to do some little recordings here and there. Still got almost 2 months to plan.
Yeah, sometimes it’s just me talking things out, even ones that start out vapey, because sometimes good stuff comes out of those. Even it it’s a little something. Like I listened to something not too long ago where it was just me saying a little thing toward the end of one of these shows, and it made me laugh because it was so goofy.
I don’t think I’ve heard Ariel do anything like the walk and talks in a while. With his new gig at ESPN, it’ll be interesting if he even has time for stuff like that in the future.
And it means a lot, really. To think that I could bring something positive to…well, anyone, is pretty awesome to hear. Thanks for saying that!
Believe it or not… I read these, even if I don’t make time to listen. I’m slow to the thread but… you are playing Uncharted? I love those games. They are so fun… I need to go upstairs and play some now, just because I haven’t in a long while. This is exactly my type of game. Doesn’t hurt to play it on a 120″ screen with 7.1 channels either.
