ParticipantThe return you’ve all been waiting for. The triumphant return of Rob’s Mini-Show, here to once again bore you with incredibly mundane health updates and amazingly pedestrian views on recent movies. But I didn’t stop there – since I recorded this while I was working, there are literally MINUTES of complete silence for you to marvel at and enjoy! I mean, with quality like this, it really is astounding to me that switched:ON didn’t catch on with the mainstream.

Ex Machina
Terminator: Genisys
Ted 2
A Walk Among the Tombstones

ParticipantYou are a movie watching MACHINE Rob Michaels! The only one of these I’ve seen is Tomorrowland, although I wish I hadn’t. I’m keen to see Ex Machina, Hateful Eight and Sicario, just dunno when I’m gunna.

ParticipantYeah, them’s some good ones, right dare. In fact, I think those three are my top out of the bunch.
Yeah, when you’re sitting around not doing things, you can watch lots of things. It’s amazing though – still got more to do.

ParticipantWell, we do watch things, just the wrong things – like your much-hated sitcoms (New Girl, Broad City, Another Period), HBO shows (Vinyl), Old Movies (Stage Fright, Maltese Falcon, Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire), UFC stuff etc.
We should probably watch Slow West too, since the production company hired my Aunt’s house for Fassbender to live in while he was here making the movie. Which makes me one of his best friends I think. Pretty sure that’s how it works.

ParticipantYeah, I disliked Tomorrowland even more than you did. Thought the casting was all wrong, thought the design and presentation of Tomorrowland itself was dull as shit and felt none of that Disneywonder you mentioned and thought the narrative was a flatliner. The only things which even came close to working were the stuff with the girl’s missions to sabotage the demo gear and Hugh Laurie speechifying. Everything else just felt like a waste of my time.

ParticipantI think the biggest issue with all of this health mess is how hard it is to engage with something. But, I, too end up watching meaningless stuff instead of the good stuff, even when I’m feeling my best.
