Sprint Gets Cozy With Motorola

Sprint COO Len Lauer today said the company will sell phones from the RAZR family, as well as the Motorola Q and SLVR in the fourth quarter this year. Currently Sprint only sells one handset from Motorola, an entry level clamshell, which was noteworthy only because it had been some time since Sprint sold Motorola handsets at all. Some analysts have blamed Sprint’s lack of popular Motorola handsets for its poor financial performance recently. Sprint’s Nextel division uses Motorola handsets exclusively, and may have paved the way for the carrier to begin offering Motorola’s line.
