Version3
KeymasterLots of good stuff in this silly good time movie. Put your pants back on and go watch it now. I’d love to start listing them off, but I really think it would spoil the fun.

Participantdid you actually go see it? or was it the cam release? if the latter then how was it? my cutoff is an occasional telesync. don’t normally go for cams.

KeymasterYou know me… 🙂
I don’t either… I grabbed it because it was labeled poorly, then (as usual) the sample was cut from the best bit of footage.
Cam: yes. Apparent: yes. Annoying? no. Stupid shit like people getting up and weird off camera noises on occasion? yes. Fun movie credits cut off when they should not be? yes.
Okay, here’s a better way. There are a few freeze issues, where we lose like 1 sec of video, there are some people getting their fat humanoid bodies in the way, and the sound is like really really good cam consumer cam sound. In other words, it’s 3/4 full spectrum, and 40 foot echo with fast rolloff. I didn’t find it annoying at all in headphones, and found the picture to be very decent, and the crop/framing to be good.
I’d say, if you totally hate cams, avoid it because the moment you are totally fine with it for a while, it will bring up one of those things that piss you off. But, if you are just forgiving enough to tolerate one that won’t beat you to death, the interruptions are well timed, the focus stays on, the framing is good, and the audio is loud enough and the echo is knocked down pretty far (probably just a decent theater and good placement) that this is a watchable cam. But make no mistake, it’s very much a cam.
I always give them a shot if it’s something I want to see either A) really bad, and I’m the only one in the house, or just kinda if it’s there and I’m the only one in the house. Then I’ll just fire it up on monitor 2 and watch.
I watched this movie and did no work, so it kept my attention, cam quality and all. Hmmmm wonder if I should be documenting this stuff out there for all?
Anyone else given this one a try?

Participantjust saw the trailer for this again during big bang theory. it’s definitely my kind of movie just on it’s own. but with peg and frost? a must watch for me.

KeymasterYeah, in several ways it should be kind of a dopey groaner in many many places… but by the magic of peg and frost, and a delicate hand… it’s not. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
