    Okay….I think an explanation is called for here for non-Dwarf fans. This is a gag from the early days of Red Dwarf.

    Red Dwarf is set 3 million years in the future….Craig Lister, the main character, is the last human alive. He was frozen in Stasis for punishment after smuggling an unquarrantined pregnant cat aboard a mining vessel. A radioctive explosion whilst in stasis meant he wasn’t awoken for 3 million years. His only companions are Rimmer, a hologramatic reconstruction of his dead bunkmate and a life form who evolved from his pregnant cat.

    This is the scene when Cat first learns how to operate the vending machines…

    Actually, during the filming the other week, Danny John-Jules had a section where he was sat reading a magazine….and he screwed his lines up. He just looked up at the audience with a big grin, held up the mag to the camera. It was a story about a fisherman and the picture had him holding his prize catch….DJJ just said “FISH!!!” to rapturous applause….
