Version3
KeymasterDid I already post this somewhere around here? I know I put it up on the Twittery –but in case you haven’t seen my parental bragging, Kennyth and one of his classmates wrote, (mostly) directed and starred in this funny little short comedy about a weather report where things go from bad to worse.
I helped them organize their thoughts, and put a script to their idea. Obviously I shot, editing and did the post work on it, but Presley (classmate) directed it on set, and Kennyth helped me make some decisions in editing. It was a fun learning experience for them both I think, and most importantly they had a lot of fun doing it.

KeymasterJust kidding… most importantly they fucking beat the faces of those other kids! Ha! Here’s the whole category being announced, and the winning moment for Kennyth and Presley.

ParticipantI’m bad at social medias so I’d never seen it but I have now and it won my award too. They should team up with that Geasland kid, he also cracked me up.
Kennyth also should have won an award for doing his own stunts.

ParticipantThis is similar to something I did in Grade 9, however instead of the weather getting bad we had an alien invasion. The production value and actual comedy for any age group – not just young people – is really what your video had blown away with, well done.
They did beat the shit out of all the other groups, all the other ones seemed like they were filmed in one take on a gas powered camera (shameless show reference).
I had a feeling like one of the shitty groups would win because it seems like that always happened when we were younger, and I remember Jerry mentioning something about that in one show, where he had drawn up something amazing for a contest and then they ended up picking some shitty picture instead of his (I think it was a mascot). It happened to everyone at least once I think

KeymasterI think we assumed the same thing —that something shitty would win. The kids told me what the wanted, and I just limited myself to the post work I could manage in a single day. Just enough to sell what they were doing, but not enough to get carried away with it.
I only wish I put that much effort into the stack of ideas I have over here in various states of incompletion.
