Participanthory friggin shit that was kool
i just heard “SQUEEK SQUEEK SQUEEK” i looked outside and a raven was, like, attacking this baby rabbit. soon enough the momma rabbit popped out, the raven and rabbit and baby kinda hopped around in circles, chaos ensuing, when finally the raven grabbed up the baby and flew off up the hill. the rabbit followed for half a minute, but gave up
thawas…new.

ParticipantYeah and people talk about cruelty. Shit look how animals treat each other in the wild. I know they don’t have the same conscience as we have but dang. Can you imagine what Mama rabbit was thinking when it was all over? Imagine what a human mother would be thinking if that happened. Especially right before mothers day. Little Timmy is playing out front then suddenly taken up by a raven.
I like titties.

ParticipantThey’re rabbits, so there is probably 60 more on the way. That is gonna be one fat raven.

Participanthah, yeah, i just came home from seeing MIIII and the raven was still hanging around, so it’s probably been waiting around here for a bit. i bet it’s been doing this for awhile

ParticipantMIIII. Is that Momma’s Igloo Ignites Irridescent Imbeciles?
It’s always educational when you see a dog catch a possum too. Or even the way a cat toys with whatever it’s caught, usually all over the living room carpet.

Participantholy shit it just friggin happened again! arent ravens supposed to be, like, scavengers?
May 14, 2006 at 8:23 pm #21226ROSS
Participantyeah, they normally tend to feed off animals which are already dead, like roadkill. I must say Ive never seen a raven attack anything while it is still alive, however I did see a gull eat a baby duck whole once! 😯

Participanti took the two killed rabbits as an omen, and guess what, the bibb and yaz site just went down today. crazy i know.

ParticipantTypically ravens (I’m assuming we’re dealing with corvus corax here) will move from scavenging behaviour to predatory as a warning to the dominant species in the area that they’ll be increasing their aggressive activity. The fact that you’ve witnessed two such occurences makes it more than 98% likely that the ravens are sending you direct warnings. Should you choose not to heed these warnings you should expect to be woken one night within the next week by the sound of crashing glass as they come for you in the dark.
