Not being a “comics guy” I had no idea what this “property” even was until they announced they were making a “movie” about it a year or so back. But Marvel seems to do things pretty much right and Chris Pratt makes me laugh a lot on Parks and Rec and John C Reilly is in it at least for a little bit, so bring it on says I.

The first trailer suggests a whackier tone than other Marvel things so far, but not too much whackier.

    “Whackier” as in masturbatory? Possibly.

I also know nothing about the property, but this left me very intrigued. It almost doesn’t matter what the story is going to be like, because it looks fun. Just fun.

It is very fun but it’s very much a disengage-your-brain type of dealio. It’s basically a comedy sci-fi cartoon in live action form. The story is bollocks but it moves so fast and with so much charm it’s easy enough to go with it. I’ve never heard a comic book movie get so many laughs from an audience.

I never really gave Guardians much thought until it hit theaters. I kept hearing such good things (and I learned it was helmed by Slither director James Gunn).

It is a celebration of mindless popcorn fun and I absolutely loved it. It’s hardly left the player since I bougt it.

My essence still senses Bucho's women.

I liked it. That’s about as far as I can go with it. It’s definitely fun, and it’s a good popcorn flick all day long. It just so has so many problems that I cannot get behind it like other have.

Yeah, I don’t get it. I love this movie so much. I loved it immediately, and the 3d was good in the theaters, and it’s good at home, too, which leads to something I want to talk about, but it’ll have to go on another topic…
