So, both The Social Network and Inception are considered the front runners when it comes to the original score category for award season. The Social Network has already been chosen as the best score by the Boston Film Critics and LA Film Critics.

The Social Network is by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, and Inception is by Hans Zimmer.

Even though I’d love to see Trent at the Academy Awards, I think Inception, to me, is better. I think people are loving TSN score because they haven’t listened to Trent a billion times. He’s done better work in my opinion, and the Inception score is just so layered and awesome, it takes the cake.

Now, will I be happy if Trent wins? Of course — it’s fuckin’ Trent, and that’d be awesome. But it’s like if Heath Ledger won for A Knight’s Tale instead of the Dark Knight. Add to the mix that Hans already has won an Oscar. He won for The Lion King. So right there, Inception is tons better than what he won for before. So maybe it would be poetic justice for Trent and Atticus to win for what I consider to be a lackluster score, beating out what I consider to be superior?

I think I’ve put way too much thought into this already…

All that being said, “Pieces Form the Whole” off TSN score is frickin’ genius.

there’s no question that hans zimmer’s score is superior in every way. but trent is still the man. and even if the social network score isn’t his best work, it’s still better than a lot of other artists best work.

My essence still senses Bucho's women.

Nah, your instincts are right, you’ve put WAY too much thought into this. Go back to Boobies and butt jokes where you belong.!
