There’s not much to go on in the first teaser, except a bunch of voiceover from Hollywood’s prime Texas stud, but I still got the good old goosebumps.
- Women sense my power and they seek the life essence.
It’s only one more season. After the summer movies, they’ll release some random crap, and you can go see this movie next year.

There’s is a lot to like about this movie. Love all the practical effects and the use of miniatures.
Sound design is amazing. So much beauty in what isn’t heard. But what is heard? The music is phenomenal. Zimmer really delivers.
And it may not be a big deal to you guys but the movie came with an actual IMAX 70mm film cell from the movie!

What turned you off? Lackluster plot? The ending? Drab acting from main character?
I couldn’t argue those points. But man did I love everything else.

Gosh, where do I start? I felt in the first hour or so that I was pretty on board with it, but, well, it just seemed like they set up some rules that were all sciencey and then they just started breaking their own rules. More than anything, though, is that they tried to shoehorn so much story in that they forgot to build character. I couldn’t connect with anyone.
I already knew that for me it was meh, but then I read an article about the science and then how the original script was changed and it just really made me think it should go from meh to nah.
