Bucho
ParticipantI can’t find the old thread where I had the videos I made from Brazil so here’s a new one. I don’t know if they’re even entertaining or interesting to anyone but me but I’ll post them up here anyway just in case.
This first one I never posted before. It’s from when three of the local lads were trying to convince me this big worm was actually a snake.
And I don’t remember if I ever posted this one before but it’s from a few days before I left.

ParticipantThose fellers were magic. Not only were they speaking Portuguese, but they were making English words appear on the screen too.
For some reason, I seem to know a lot of people that have either been to, or are going to, or were born and raised in, Brazil.

Participantyou missed a prime opportunity Bucho.
you should have gone all crocodile dundee on them. “that’s not a snake, that’s a worm. and while we’re on the subject, that’s not a worm. this is a worm.”
and by “worm” i mean you’re penis.
My essence still senses Bucho's women.

ParticipantI love these video’s Bucho. It really makes me wish I’d done something similar when I was younger and I will certainly be encouraging the girls to be adventurous before they settle down…

ParticipantYou know, now that you mention it, it did look like all those people were dancing around him, didn’t it?

ParticipantWell, they wanted me to help them build a school, but it’s true that everything I build somehow just ends up being a tarantula shrine to attract nubile jungle women.
I’m pretty much Richard Dreyfus in Close Encounters, but with tarantula shrines instead of Devil’s Tower.

ParticipantWas there electricity where you were staying? So you could recharge your camera?
July 9, 2011 at 5:20 am #29877Bucho
ParticipantYeah, half the time on the island where I lived there was usually electricity about 6-7 hours a day proved by either generators or a big steam boiler called Mad Maria which supplied power to the processing plant which pasteurised and packed the açaí. The other half the time, during the off-season for açaí or on Sundays, there would be maybe 1-2 hours in the evenings from a genny.
I had a couple of batteries and the city was only a 25 minute boat ride away too (you can see make out the tallest buildings at about 3:24 of the Domingo Do Cirilo video) so I cruised across to the Amazon Frut offices once or twice a week too, where I could use plentiful electricity as well as computers linked to the Information Superhighway.
