Those of you that use your rememberers may remember that I’m a big fan of Blender, a free and open source 3D modeling and animation program.
They’ve released their showreel for 2011 and I thought I’d share it here. I would embed it, except it’s best watched at 720p.
Wow, some really epic stuff going on there.
As a side note, the band that made that song – White Lies – reminds me of Jerry quite a bit. Not in the sound per se, but there seems to have been a lot of bands over the last couple of years taking 80s styles and influences and kind of focusing them through a modern lens and I heard Jerry do that before I heard anyone else do it.

I agree. The Blender community as a whole and the Blender product have both come a long way.
