You crack me up Jerry. I mean really crack me up. In particular the nozzle stuff cracked me up so much I called my wife in to watch it too. So she did. She thinks you’re funny too. Which I knew she would. I mean, why the heck else would I have married her?

Good move leaving the phone in the stand when you moved it around and about the place too. I use that trick myself when I want the world’s cheapest steadycam at my behest.

Well, do keep in mind that Bingette wanted Jerry to have her children… or something. It’s stuff like that nozzle bit that can really clench the deal.

But I was actually laughing at it too and the little jokes were funny, but it was more how Jerry was going about this. Framing, the way he stepped through them. It’s like he broke out into a watering how-to video, but then delivered it completely different than how others would expect.

Jerry, you should do really random how-to videos for no subject in particular, and make them for general audiences, but keep your delivery distinctly “you”. Bonus if you can do this on completely mundane things only.

Yeah, it’s the delivery. The jokes themselves are fun, but it’s the performance which makes them fly. I mean, I’ve always known Jerry has natural weapons-grade comedy instincts but seeing the physical side of the “performance” just adds another dimension. The mannerisms are so on point and so naturally manifested. He effortlessly creates characters on the spot that are funnier than most characters I hear on shows made by trained, professional improvisors. There’s not a single moment which plays as false or overcooked. The ease is what’s so fun and so impressive.

I don’t know why I put quote marks around performance the second time there and unfortunately there’s just no way to find out. It’s a question that must echo through the ages, forever unanswered.

I saw that you’d posted this the other day and forgot to come back to watch it. Thankfully, I did remember today, so I finally was able to see it.

See, Bucho? You see that shit? And you wonder why sometimes some of the simplest things said on the show crack me the hell up.

One day…one day I’ll be well enough for us to do a show at least every now and then. Jerry’s about an hour away, and Bryan’s like 3-4 hours away, so I haven’t seen these guys in a very long time. Is it sappy to say that it hurts a bit? I’m really looking forward to not being the sick guy…

Now, to the video: I agree with the Cap’n completely. A series of mundane tasks on video from Jerry would be pretty damn awesome. My requests: replacing a trash bag in a trash can; putting cans of soda in the fridge for cooling; replacing batteries in a remote. Yes, thank you.

You’re damn right Robby. Even experiencing it in audio form it was clear, I can’t imagine how fun it would have been in the room or even seeing it on video.
