I’ve watched NOON and DR EASY. Noon is ok, pretty good production value but not much of a story. DR EASY is really well done but has some of that pesky cutesy ambiguity in the ending.

ParticipantReqiuem For Romance is also fucking tremendous. Not just cool as an artistic idea, but it really gave my heart a good old touching.

ParticipantThe Controller is also very good. The world it’s built doesn’t quite hold together (if she’s so important why is she so poorly guarded/housed?) but it had me gripped right till the end.
The other two I’ve watched, particularly The Final Moments of Karl Brant and From The Future With Love, have started out very promisingly but dropped it a little at the end with the writing.

ParticipantI watched all of them except Little Witch Academia which was way too cute and I quit after 5 minutes.
Apart from Malaria and Requiem For Romance this is the other best one. This is The Reward.

ParticipantThere’s some evidence that you guys don’t giuve a crap about my dumb short film recommendations but I’m suuuuuuuper slow at getting hints so here’s another one. This one’s not science fiction, but it is really damn professionally good.

ParticipantI actually watched Malaria a while back and was going to watch more and comment and stuff but I got sidetracked and never came back. I liked Malaria quite a bit, though, for sure. Keep the posting going, my friend.

KeymasterMy job has been eating all of my internet time. I’ve reminded myself a few times to go back to this thread and do some watching, but I still haven’t.

ParticipantTo be honest I probably wouldn’t have made the time to start watching them if I hadn’t gotten so sick over the Christmas break and had no energy to do anything other than watch stuff, but I’m glad as heck I did. Discovering these gems was the silver lining to that pox-riddled cloud.

ParticipantI especially liked All’s Fair. Kinda depressing, but in a good way.

ParticipantThat one’s super well-done, especially the lead actor. He did a really great job of pulling off the transitions between the comedy and the tragedy.

ParticipantThis one was at SXSW this year. In Texas. Where you guys are. Well, not Bryan. But his heart is there. But not in Austin.

ParticipantThis is a real short short, under 3 min long. Watch it after dark with the lights out.
I dare you.
