I spoke to Bryan again today, and when I told him that my prostatitis came back for another round, he had figured that it was why I hadn’t been on the board. Quite astute. You all may have thought the same thing.

After much research on the issue, I have resigned myself to the fact that this is going to continue to be an issue for a while. So far, there’s no real lasting harm that could be done to my body because of it, and more than anything, it’s just an inconvenience. Not only do I get to get butt-probed by my doctor a minimum of twice each time I get a flare-up, but I get to enjoy two weeks of antibiotics that fuck with my digestion, bringing on unforeseeable waves of extreme nausea that cause me to not eat for days at a time. Lovely! And, oh, that’s not all. A comfortable pee is, for two weeks, not to be had, and I won’t even go into the wacky weird stuff that happens – infections are great fun!

The good news is that my doctor has agreed to set me up with a urologist, so hopefully we can get to the bottom of what the fuck is up with my junk.

Strange – if you would’ve told me a year ago about what I’d be going through with this shit, it would’ve made me super nervous. Now, it’s all old hat. Doc told me to drop my pants so he could check my testicles, and I displayed them as though they were works of art.

So, hopefully, I’ll be back to my normal self soon, and I’ll be posting on the board more often. I’ve got a list of movies I need to review, too.

Oh, and by the way, don’t let anyone freak you out when they talk about a prostate exam. It’s definitely not something I would choose to do, and I don’t understand how the gays do it for fun, but it’s really not that big of a deal. Trust me – had my fifth in nine months the other day.

Apologies for those that couldn’t view this thread (and tried). The use of () in the title blew up vBulletin’s ability to load this thread… it’s happened before with a post Jerry was trying to put up as well. I’ll look into the problem, but ultimately vB still has a lot of major issues from that time that WP script ran crazy-eyed on all of my hosting accounts. I never really finished cleaning up my site, or SOS.

I’ve had the cameras in both ends a couple of years ago Robby, I’m not about to freak out about a digit or two. Curiously in fact, the one down the gullet was worse than the one up the jacksy. At least an ass doesn’t have a gag reflex. The days of nausea sounds horrendous though.

Hope you get better soon, I miss your musk.

I’m on the mend now. If things progress as they did last time, I should probably start getting nauseous this weekend. But who knows? Each time has been different.

I’m looking forward to the urologist, because hopefully I’ll get some damn answers.

I feel your pain Rob, I’ve been through a ton of stuff with my skin (not painful like your issue is) and after misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis (and some pills that are meant to treat women’s yeast infections) My issue got solved. I can really only hope the best for you sooner rather than later.

Have you been at a static weight for a long time or lost/gained recently? I have lost ~50lbs since the summer and most of the issues I’ve been having dissappeared. My blood pressure went from 155/90 to around 130/80 and some other stuff. Doctor said losing 10% of your body weight is the thing to do (if you are overweight) and I guess it is a good thing

At the end of last October when I got laid off, I weighed 255. After my first bout with prostatitis in mid-February, I weighed 225. So yeah, nice try! God!

No, really, I haven’t lost any more weight since then. My blood pressure was around 155/100 when I first got on blood pressure meds back in 2007. My blood pressure last week was 110/80. The weird thing is when I’m not having the prostatitis, I feel better than I have in years, so even though all this sucks, there is a silver lining. Going to the urologist on Monday, and I’ll hopefully find out more. He’ll probably say that I need to quit smoking, quit laughing and quit driving. No spending money, either.
