The great animator/director accepts a great award and makes a shock announcement about his great career.

huge fan of brad bird’s stuff. the fox and the hound was the bambi of my childhood. saw it at the theater, cried, read the book a million times, cried.

the iron giant is a fantastic example of all that’s great in modern western 2d animation (followed closely by don bluth’s titan a.e. in my opinion).

and of course all his work at pixar is the bee’s knees yo.

sad to see he’s leaving animation for live action. why were his bodyguards pointing their guns at him though?

My essence still senses Bucho's women.

for a 2d western animated feature (especially one that was released to theaters) it is a surprisingly solid sci-fi story.

    and no jar-jar binks.

My essence still senses Bucho's women.
