so i really enjoyed the dark tower series by stephen king. books 2 and 3 are some of king’s best writing. towards the end of the series there were some hiccoughs (hiccups are actually spelled ‘hiccoughs’, who knew?) but i thought the last book finished strong. at the time i was horrified at the ending but now i actually like the ending a lot. i think he wrote himself into a corner and there was no other way to do it.
anyway. the point of this is to recommend (for those into this kind of thing) the comic series that’s been going on for a few years. i just got the hardback compilation of the 3rd series the other day and it reminded me just how good the story is and how utterly amazing the illustrations are.
its a prequel to the 7-book series. it explores the history that we get glimpses of from the stories roland tells his ka-tet.
My essence still senses Bucho's women.
