I really dig the look and sound of it, there’s some cool trailer moments for sure. I know nothing about Snyder though and Butler has no real track record so I can’t let myself get too hyped. It’s usually the best way for me to go into films anyway, low expectations = bigger buzz when it turns out to be good.

    Looks kinda low-budget, y’think?

    Really, here’s the run-down:

    1. That was the gayest looking elephant in the world
    2. I’d kick a little kid in the ass
    3. God help us if the ratio of time/yelling-of-“Spartans!!!” is equal in the full movie as the trailer
    4. Who knew Nine Inch Nails music could be fit in the soundtrack of a movie of this nature. That song is one of my favorites from The Fragile, so yeah Trent was on drugos and probably doesn’t care now, but c’mon, don’t throw it into the marketing sandstorm of the mainstream. Butthole.

The music is fine but I hear you that the dialogue isn’t the best. Every epic wants to have the hollering, “they’ll never take our freedom” Braveheart type stuff and most of them fail to get it right. That’s what I mean about not putting any trust in Snyder yet.

Hooray for faithful adaptions of classic graphic novels into good-to-great films. And also hooray for boobies.

Looks like it was developed by the same guys who did God of War for the PS2 (kick ass game, by the way). Hell, I’ll go see it.

    Very stylized and cool.

Just hope that effeminate little kid isn’t in the whole fucking thing.

True, it was a kick ass game.

Also true, the spartans where the most bloodthirsty warriors the ancient world had ever seen.

The Greeks and Romans avoided them like the plague.

P.S. I’ll probably get to the cinema to watch it about two months after it’s been on in the States (sigh).

P.P.S. Apparently the Mel Gibson film “Apocalypto” is supposed to be a kick ass film (at least those people at IMDB say).

If it doesn’t work, jam a screwdriver in there and jiggle it about.

Yeah dude, I’ve heard a lot of good reviews for Apocalypto, I’m pretty amped for it.
