It’s so weird because I never considered South Carolina as the “Deep South.” Granted, we were the first to tell the North to kiss our collective asses in 1861, but look where that got us!
I’ve always felt like Alabama, Mississippi … those were the real “Deep South” states. Then again, hell, ol’ Strom Thurmond’s family owned Al Sharpton’s family, so maybe this could be considered the “Deep South.”
FYI … The difference between a redneck and a hick? A redneck knows what sweet tea is.
